Hey there!
Welcome to the first official post of my blog! I’m planning on using this section of my website as a sort of journal which I update from time to time. I’m going to try to be as consistent as possible with this weekly update where I’m basically going to be covering what I’ve been working on over this past week and any updates on my courses, etc.
What’s been happening
So, currently I’m taking six courses:
- EECS 3221 - Operating Systems Fundamentals
- EECS 3451 - Signals and Systems
- EECS 3201 - Digital Logic Design
- ENTR 3400 - Business Essentials for Tech Entrepreneurs
- TECL 3091 - Legal Values: Commercializing IP
- GH 1001 - Human Anatomy and Physiology I
I just completed my quizzes for both EECS 3451 and EECS 3201, who I have the same professor for and I respect him quite a bit. I’ve definitely been enjoying Digital Logic Design more since it’s far more applied and engineering-based. The professor is very fair with his quizzes by basically giving out a problem set prior to the quiz, then when you write the quiz, the quiz problem is one of ~9 problems. I’m fairly certain I completed both problems correctly since I practiced both of them quite a bit in preparation for the quiz.
In EECS 3221, I just completed my Project 1 focused on CPU scheduling. The project still requires me to make a video about my code and show my understanding, but the actual project code is complete and working. It’s mostly written in C and you can see the code on my Github here.
Finally, my projects. Right now, I’m working on a club project for my unofficial defence-based club, Merryweather Technologies. Alongside a few friends, we are currently designing a state-of-the-art messaging service that is so secure, we don’t even know what you are sending.
I’m also working on a personal project with my friend Maks that we are calling Project Aperture. More on this in the future.
Signing off
This was a short, yet sweet first weekly update. I’m not sure if they will get longer, shorter, or if I’ll miss some in the meantime, but thank you for taking the time to read this post and if you have any feedback for me, please forward them to me in an email.
